STXBP1 Foundation Policy on Indirect Costs for Grants

The STXBP1 Foundation is committed to maximizing the impact of our funding by ensuring that the majority of our resources are directed towards our core programs and services. As part of this commitment, we have established a policy regarding the allocation of indirect costs on grants.

Policy Statement

As a non-profit organization the STXBP1 Foundation does not allocate any portion of our grants to cover indirect costs. This policy is rooted in our dedication to transparency, accountability, and the effective use of donor contributions. By not covering indirect costs, we ensure that every dollar received is utilized directly for the advancement of our mission to raise awareness and find a cure for STXBP1-Related Disorder.

Rationale

  1. Transparency and Accountability: We believe in maintaining a high level of transparency with our donors and stakeholders. By not allocating funds to indirect costs, we can provide clear and straightforward reporting on how donations are used.

  2. Maximizing Impact: Our primary goal is to maximize the impact of our funding efforts. Allocating funds directly to programmatic activities allows us to achieve greater outcomes and make a more significant difference in the STXBP1 community.

  3. Donor Trust: Our donors trust that their contributions are being used effectively and efficiently. Upholding this policy reinforces that trust and encourages continued support.

Implementation

This policy is communicated to all potential and current grant recipients, as well as to our donors and stakeholders. We ensure that all grant agreements and related documentation clearly state our position on indirect costs. The Foundation remains steadfast in our commitment to supporting impactful STXBP1 research. By adhering to our policy on indirect costs, we continue to honor the trust placed in us by our donors and ensure that our resources are used to further our mission.
